Interesting read, read on. Yeah vote democratic party......lol ready the second or third link , the first link shows yes the conference was real not just imagination
The walls of the various conference rooms were adorned with posters of Karl Marx and various depictions of socialist thinkers and causes
Of the panels I attended, all featured speakers who made paeans to traditional communist theories quoted Marx, and bought into the ideology that formed the basis of those regimes
few doubts about the fact that Marxism formed the core of their beliefs.
QUOTE MORE READ THIS:
One panel, “Social Reproduction Theory and Gender Liberation,” addressed how the traditional family structure reinforced capitalism and contended that the answer was to simply abolish families.
She insisted that the answer to such problems is to “abolish the family.” The way to get to that point, she said, is by “getting rid of capitalism” and reorganizing society around what she called “***** social reproduction.”
5. The Green Movement Is Red "climate change"
It’s perhaps no surprise that an openly socialist member of Congress is pushing for the Green New Deal WHICH would make government a command and control
Republicans won't address concerns like housing costs and healthcare, and Democrats have made little progress, so it's no wonder democratic socialism is gaining ground. If conservatives are actually concerned about the rise of socialism in America, they seriously need to construct some concrete policy to address the issues that affect working people. The way I see it, Republicans in 2019 exist in the realm of identity politics and emotion, and only give vague illusions to the "free market" when asked for concrete policy solutions.
You obviously don't like things like universal healthcare. Then where is the alternative Republican plan for bringing down healthcare costs? Where is the Republican plan for infrastructure?

Infrastructure. Gasoline taxes pay for infrastructure. Healthcare? Pay for your own stuff. Personal responsibility.

you know we went through this already 9 years ago. The result was ACA.
Like it or not that is our "national health insurance".

Yeah those socialists really care about people, as long as they can "command and control" them , I like that that is my new term to describe them "command and control" or how about "AUTHORITARIAN progressives" that works also.
Thing is you assume I am beholden to Republicans, I'm not but as long as the democratic party goes to kookyville leftist I'm dead set against them.
Whats called Democratic Socialism in the US, is Social Democracy or the Scandinavian model, which are highly Capitalistic with a strong safety net.
There are maaaaybe 1% of Democrats that belive in the old Socialist Dream the Republicans are fantasizing about.
AOC and the other people trump is raging about, are moderate politicians compared to REAL communist, which we have in my country... The Social Democrats your claiming are Socialist, are regular centrist politician in Scandinavia. Again.. HIGLY capitalistic!
Calm down... a tiny little fraction of a percentage wants the government to control the means of production. If they dont explicitly want that.. they are NOT socialist. So stop overusing the word... its losing its meaning when Republicans are calling anything that breaks from the Status Quo in America now, as socialist.

And as flawed as the ACA is....Republicans refused to repeal it because their knew their constituents would be outraged.
No matter how many times Republicans mock Democrats for the ACA........Republicans have done little to fix it or offer up a solution -- even when they controlled the govt.
Why? Because the ACA -- with all its blemishes was and is preferred to the previous system.
ACA was a Republican answer to the healthcare crisis in America.
And the best proposal the Republicans have come up with, except a complete free for all system (that dont exist anywhere else in the world)
But once Obama wanted to implement it, they screamed Communism... and refused to implement it in their home states.
Thats Rightwing logic of you... let 30-40.0000 Americans die each year so they can keep spending twice as much as any other 1st world country for subpar healthcare. Would rather pay $10.000 in private tax, then $5000 in public tax so everybody could get cheap and good healthcare... But that would mean they would help others. Those lazy bums... Goes against everything they belive in..
