The middle class who want their efforts rewarded are the people who have rejected unions.
The middle class is getting destroyed and thats the whole purpose of waging war against labor unions.
No country has ever built a strong middle class without strong labor unions. But a strong middle class and lower inequality is a threat to the power of the ruling class. So it must be destroyed.

The majority of US workers were never in unions. The peak was 1954 at 35%.
I don't know but it doesn't matter as long as the people of their district like them. I moved from Tlaib's district a few weeks ago. I can tell you they like her more than the Racist in Chief.
Uh, they had primaries too. In AOC's case, she beat one of the stalwarts of the Democratic party, a guy who was considered a shoo-in for re-election. You think it is just the right wing kooks who are sick of the rich running this country for their own benefit. Just watch!
Only about 13% of registered Democrats turned out to vote. There are 214,750 active registered Democratic voters in the district. Only 27,744 voted, and Ocasio-Cortez won by more than 4,000 votes. Voter apathy has consequences.
They're numb-skulls, every single member of the so called "squad". Best they are out now before the Dems/leftists are given an even more negative reputation than they already have. They aren't winning anything with those clowns representing their side.
Strong unions have a far greater impact on the workforce than simply the people who are unionized. It affects the entire labor market. Thats the whole point.
And it is one of the principal reasons that middle class America is suffering so much. They got snookered by the GOP who preached divisiveness to rob them of their livelihoods.
Unions served a purpose at one time.
But they have outlived their usefulness.
Almost everything Unions do today is covered under other laws, regulations and various government agencies.
I've had the displeasure of working with union members, and I can say that they are absolutely the laziest, most self centered and entitled bunch of pantywaists I've ever seen.
If I acted the way they do on a job site, I'd be fired in a heartbeat.
All democrats who support a national health care system are labeled extremists. They are the far left fringe of the democratic party because they dont take bribe money from big pharma and the insurance lobby.
Which senator did you vote for and who are his or her major donors?
(Colorado). I think I voted for Mark Udall (D) in 2014 because I am very much pro-choice and pro-environment; and I think I also voted for Michael Bennett (D) in 2016, too. However, I was upset with the direction the Democrats were going on other issues even back then, so I would not swear to either vote.
As far as who their donors are or were, I have no idea. Frankly, I don't look beyond candidate positions on the major issues.
P.S. I am registered "Unaffiliated".

With disapproval rates in the 90% range, do you really think that having Omar and AOC front and center for the dem party is favorable to your cause?
So- honest question- do you think that AOC and Omar help or hurt the democrat cause and their election chances in 2020?
It doesn't matter what most Americans think, it matters what her constituents think. You do get that she is congress right?
