I like the how the OP picks and chooses random bits from the article to push a narrative.

Yes, it is ridiculous female astronauts have to put padding in their spacesuits because they only come in men’s sizes. That’s not a trivial complaint.

The article as a whole is ridiculous, in both tone and substance. I quoted the most ridiculous part.

These are EVA suits, not personal items for daily use tailored to each astronaut. The women have no problem using them.

You're completely making the writer's point, and you don't even know.

Spaceships, the moon, The Man in the Moon, moon rocks, and moon pies are all racist and sexist. All will be banned accordingly.

NASA tends to employ people who specialize. It's not as if they show up and say "I kinda feel like doing propulsion today, anyone up for it?" And if you're a highly-trained specialist in equipping the crew with the necessities for spaceflight, yet have no clue regarding women's plumbing, then you may just work in an organization with a slight gender bias.

Well, at least space travel is somewhat progressive in the sense that we have had women and non-White be in outer space.

NASA engineers also thought that the astronauts who went to the moon needed to be quarantined for 3 weeks post moonshot lest they unleash “moon germs” on the planet earth. An engineer of what race or sex would have nipped that one in the bud?

Personally, I’d rather have 100 tampons than spend 3 completely unnecessary weeks in a sealed 1960’s era Streamline Camper.

Now comes the bit where we compare humanity's knowledge of lunar microbiology in the 1960s with humanity's knowledge of the female reproductive system in the 1980s and point out what a ridiculous comparison you just made. (Actually, that bit should probably have happened before you posted.)

So? It’s not shocking a man might be ignorant of how many tampons women use during a period. In fact, I suspect until they actually had women in space they had no idea what the effects of zero gravity would even have on that issue.

It just seems petty to worry about an over abundance of something when it would be far worse to not have enough to fulfill their needs.
