This makes me laugh.
I don't know any other group that has the equivalent to the Dumb American stereotype.
These are simple, readily available statistics. Apparently ones you cannot face, as it challenges your world view, which is based on emotion. Complaining about a statistical fact does not change it.
Good point. However, the statistical chance of Omar being of low intelligence is much higher, having selected from that pool of individuals. The chances are excellent that she is of well below average intelligence in the US......... thus her behavior.
It would be wrong to expect Omar to behave in an intelligent fashion, much like expecting a Model T Ford to top 200mph.
I’m not sure why you’d use geographically-based statistical odds to predict the IQ score of a sitting member of U.S. Congress.
Another way of thinking about it is that her Congressional seat puts her in the top 0.000001 of the U.S. population, and it probably took superlative intelligence and skill to get there.
We can make statistics say whatever we want them to say. This thread is a classic example of confirmation bias.

What kind of Walmart Freudian ideology is that. Bad behavior doesnt always come from low IQ individuals. Your just showing where you are on that list. Some of the worst behaving people in the world have high IQ's.
What genius came up with idea of bringing people in from Somolia? Makes as much sense as bringing people in from the Amazon rain forest. How do they expect these people to function in a modern society?
Looks like that IQ 68 result comes from this study of Somali refugees in Kenya done in 2017 under the supervision of prolific IQ researcher Richard Lynn.
