It's odd that you were able to stand in the heat on pavement to speak to a reporter but you couldn't manage to walk over to the empty full service checkout lane in an air conditioned store.
The NYT leads with "The hate is real" in large font bold, and continues with "told her to go back where she came from" in the headline. Finally, 14 paragraphs in, they get around to mentioning that Thomas has now admitted Sparkes didn't say that. This is what passes for responsible journalism these days.
She was screaming and crying in her initial video stating he unequivocally said “go back to your country!”. Now she’s smiling and saying she’s not sure exactly what he said but he used “go back type language” which he vehemently denies. Do you think he would show up at her presser to defend himself if he said that? Of course not. The man is also an outspoken democrat lol. Get real. She made it all up.
I wonder if she feared a zoom in on their mouthes on the no audio store footage to analyze what was said during the exchange .
