Corporate takeover. The republican party is the corporation and the democratic party is controlled by the corporations. Politics is nothing more than a dog and pony show.
Trump is the diversion and while the news media(corporate run) directs citizens attention to the Trump freak show they are stealing everything that isn't nailed down. While the rich get richer and poor poorer the elites have the masses blaming one group or the other. Trump points a finger at Hispanics, muslims, blacks and his supporters believe that this group is the cause of their own demise. The truth is the elitists have stole America.
Today Americans are born into debt and will die in debt. The average American will pay over $250,000 in interest over his/her lifetime. They will pay the bulk of taxes as Warren Buffet said, 'it is unfair that I pay 13% in taxes on billions of earnings while my secretary pays 35% in taxes on $70,000 in income.'
America is run by the wealthy for the wealthy. As G. Carlin said, "it's a big club and you ain't in it."

One that comes to mind is how many are so oversensitive and easily offended that some are for rewriting the meaning of established words in the English language to appease other people.

The fact that religion has been politicized. Get religion out of politics and a lot of our divide would go away. America is not as divided on the actual issues as people think.

Liberals- the nation has moved further and further to the left. Liberalism, based on emotion, is incompatible with logic and reason, thus a dem party who acts and must be dealt with like a child.

Infotainment “journalists” who meld information with propaganda and sometimes pure lies to pump up their ratings and get rich off of increasing controversy and divisiveness.

Human nature. We all like a free lunch.

(This applies to all parties/ideologies, BTW.)
