She's not wearing a hijab in the mug shots. My brother-in-law lives n MN and told me that Omar didn't start wearing head scarves until the last few years. Supposedly made her look "more Muslim". Didn't know if that was true (couldn't find anything online). Just interesting that she is not wearing a head scarf in the arrest photos.

Good for her !! She was fighting for justice and getting involved in politics even back then. A lot of us marched in the 60's to fight things like racial injustice, and some of us got arrested. No different than our founding fathers who protested against Tyranny .

To make an omelet, you have to break a few eggs, they say.
