Nothing wrong with increases. Especially during a time of full employment. If anything wages and benefits increase as the employee has the option to leave. It is better to keep trained employees then to constantly have to hire and retrain.
Even during hard times or inflationary times nothing wrong with those increases.
Stories of job losses or business closing's are wrong and propaganda.
Business continues to make it or die based on the product or services they offer. Seattle a perfect example.
Please justify the morality of having the minimum wage law.
Check out how many companies dropped pension plans after a union was voted out. Switched to 401K's then during the last couple of years they stopped matching.

Minimum Wage laws are economic and can be justified because they do not allow slave wages. They help Americans to be a mobile society, not trapped by a Corp or King.
Without Minimum wage laws and the upward trend of those rates we would not be where we are today.
Many things are good about labor laws such as Minimum wage and child labor laws. Equal payment laws also.

All three laws are just plain evil.
Please read post 1 and provide your moral justification.
Without laws or unions, the employer will always have a much more negotiating power than workers could ever hope for.
If you are a skilled worker that is in short supply you do have some negotiating power.
A couple of years ago I applied for a Math tutor job in a school district. Two middle schools contacted me and actually went on a bidding war over pay !!!
One school offered $20/hour and the other school came back with $25/hour.
I ended up taking the $20/hour because the school with the higher bid was a bit "rougher".
My skills were in short supply...college educated with engineering degree and teacher certification in Math 4-8.
You don't need laws and unions unless you are unskilled.
Once you get a skill more doors open. When you master that skill you have negotiating power.
And it doesn't take college either. Electrician/plumber are 2 trades that have a shortage of skilled workers. And illegals can't take those trades over because of county/state licensing requirements.
Average pay for journeyman electrician is $30/hour and $24/hour for a journeyman plumber.
Some companies will even pay for your classes/test fees the shortage is so great in some areas.
