And guess what....those countries have rich people too! Yep, you can still be rich and live in a society where everyone has access to better opportunities.

Better schools, affordable healthcare, unemployment programs, mass transit, affordable daycare, housing subsidies...etc....all investment in the public infrastructure, creating functional human beings who will go on to be productive members of society.

But it's all about breaking the cycle of poverty and you won't accomplish that by giving more tax cuts to the rich and hoping it trickles down on them. It has not worked and it will never work.
Could not rep you anymore.

This is so true!

There are more Billionaires pr capita in Sweden and Norway then the US. Denmark and Finland have less then the US.

ETA: I know why. People accuse others of what they, themselves, feel. Especially when there is a clear lack of introspection. Conservatives assume that liberals hate because that is there mojo.

I think the fact that the OP associates the notion of "success" exclusively to financial prosperity highlights whats fundamentally wrong with contemporary American culture. A wealthy man who ignores his kids, cheats on his wife, uses his friends, undermines his colleagues is in no way a successful person, doesn't matter the amount of money in their bank account.

I consider someone like Jonas Salk to be a far more successful person then Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffet or Bill Gates.

Would you rather live next to someone who makes $30k/yr or $500k/yr? The neighbor who makes $500k/yr will increase your property value because he will have a nicely manicured lawn, garden, freshly painted exterior, etc. Poor people tend to be lazy and their property will go to crap.
Probably because it's a rich person that has screwed everyone over. I myself, have had to deal with very wealthy entrepreneurs that will pay off politicians to try and use eminent domain to get people off of their land so he can come and buy it up at a bargain price.

Who says hate the rich? I just want them to pay the same percentage of taxes that I do. And that includes corporations like Amazon.

I guess the OP is a leftist then because he's the one saying certain socio-economic classes are superior to others.

Liberals don't want you to hate successful people. They hope you hate only those successful people who have made huge profits from the misery, exploitation, or impoverishment of others, and those whose greed leads them to avoid paying back their fair share.

What exactly do you mean by "The successful pay almost all the taxes and take none of the benefits"? Jared Kushner, as an example, is worth $300,000,000 and reportedly hasn't paid any taxes lately.

By the way, have you ever considered that maybe those poor people you condemn are trying to make sure their bills are paid, and just don't have the extra money to pay for those cosmetic aspects you like?
