Not sure where I ride on this.. They lost a kid yes but they choose to move to the US why start a fund to ship him back the South America?

If people want to help this family ship the body of their son back to Guatemala to be buried in the family plot, why would you care?
This, its up to individuals to decide to donate or not. As to why, perhaps they want their son buried with other family? People pass away all the time and are sent across the country or even the World to where their family is.
However people want to give out their money is no business of mine. It's fully voluntary so I don't care who does or does not contribute nor their rationale.

If they are now American citizens (or in the process) that came from Guatemala then sure. Why not? Absolutely. Anyone not wanting to donate doesn't have to.

If they are illegals, no.
I don't think Go Fund Me checks the citizen status of people using their platform. But I would guess you think they should.
