I think P&L reports may say something different from many fast food joints.

$20 an hour by 2025 is only about 55-60% of GDP per capita, the national income by that time.

In 1968 it was 71% of GDP per capita. Today it is 24% of national income.

What does a quarter pounder cost in Denmark where workers do get that? Less than in America...

You're greatly exaggerating the effects on inflation from a higher minimum wage.

Big Mac costs ( with 25% VAT on Scandinavian Big Mac. So remove 25% of cost to compare it to US price, if there is tax on Big Mac in US?)

Sweden: $5.84 - $4.6
Norway: $5.86 - $4.7
Denmark: $4.6 - $3.7
Finland: $5.23 - $4.2

USA: $5.58

Officially no minimum wages controlled by any government in Scandinavia.
However we have strong unions that negotiate with corporations on behalf of workers.

Minimum wage:
Sweden: $16 - Cleaning
Norway: $19.7 - Cleaning
Denmark: $21 - Cleaning
Finland: $15.5 - Cleaning

USA: $11.3 - Cleaning

Cleaning personnel, janitor, maids etc etc..

All this fluctuates by value of $Dollar each year.

Few here will admit it because of their view from their high horse but it goes something like this: Lower skilled people are useless wastes of air who do not even deserve 7.25 an hour. Maybe they are worth .25 an hour.

(Yes I agree that $15 is unbalanced and 20 even more so. But the level of "let them eat cake" here is nauseating.)

How about eleventy twelve dollars per hour?

As the election approaches, the dem politicians will be digging into Uncle Sam's bag of treats to feed to the ignorant. Unfortunately, that bag closes after November and the treats never come.

She's why you can buy a house in Detroit for $1. What's it going to take for the State to cleanse itself of these morons?

The free market determines labor's worth. Simple concept.
