If Boris was the right man for the job then why hasn't he run before, why did he let Theresa May take the reins. Instead he took shots at her for 2 years even though he was one of the primary reasons for the Brexit vote and told a few lies along the way.

He did run for it before and against Theresa May. So you are 100% wrong again.

Doesn't he need to form a coalition Govt first before he actually is the PM?

May goes to Queen to hand off PM job and Johnson gets introduced. Johnson then needs to create a majority in Parliament.

Well they didn't elect him for a very good reason, but now he's the answer, who's next up after Boris, Farage.

He did criticize May for 2 years, now is his chance to shine.

The only way European countries can save themselves is by electing Trump clones as their leaders.

No. This wasn't a general election. He already has the majority.

But you do make a point about introduction to the Queen.

I'm no expert, but Theresa May always struck me as a basically decent person who might have been a basically decent leader, in ordinary times. But with Brexit hanging in the balance, these are hardly ordinary times for the United Kingdom. I'm really hopeful that Boris Johnson will deliver on what the people voted for, and be the leader that the UK needs in these challenging times.
