Will be very curious to see what happens to Great Bri..England. Remember London's position as the financial capital of the world? England's weakened position will mean that is no longer, probably Germany.

London’s Finance Industry Has Decided: Brexit Is Already a Reality
Parliament votes Tuesday to ease U.K.’s exit from the EU, but some in the financial industry haven’t waited to forge their own path—moving offices and billions to competing financial centers in Europe

"The move would harm the City of London’s status as a global financial centre. Banks are already preparing to move hundreds of billions of dollars from London to the continent after Brexit. Deutsche Bank is reportedly set to shift €400bn from its balance sheet to Frankfurt, while JPMorgan will move €200bn to the German city."

Who needs em, really? Wealthy financiers have been nothing but trouble for good, God-fearing democracies like the UK and the US. No-deal Brexit brings the power squarely back into the hands of common, middle Englanders and out of the hands of those ruthless globalists. Just the same way Donald Trump has shifted the political center back towards our working class, stealing money from the rich and giving it to the poor.

I wouldn't count on Northern Ireland, they are far from a solid supporter and there are rumblings of a uniformed Ireland.

Stealing money from the rich??? 83% of Trump's tax cuts went to the top 1%. Trump stole from the poor and gave to the rich, then told his supporters it was the other way around and they foolishly believed him as if they were graduates of Trump University. I don't think Boris Johnson will be so bold but I do remember the morning after the Brexit vote when many of the people who voted for it realized what they had done. They had taken the vote as a joke and now they'd done it. IMO that's what will happen to England.

London was one of the most successful, powerful cities in the world and their citizens could move about Europe with ease. Pretty great situation and now they will lose their power and will likely lose Northern Ireland and Scotland. The old joke "everything Trump touches dies" applies here because I think the same type of people that support Trump, voted for Brexit. When Trump is gone, I don't think they will be any better off and when England has left the EU, I don't think they will be any better off.

All this foot dragging indicates something other than what what you’re saying.
It took that long, because when UK voted to join the EU in 1975, it was a totally different union. For instance, the schengen area didn't even exist. It was mostly a trade union.

When Schengen was created 10 years later, UK did not join the schengen zone because that is not what they wanted. Immigration from the EU at that time was around 0 - 30K per year. Then UK got forced to allow free migration anyway and in 2004 EU-immigration was 100K per year. In 2007 EU let a lot of poor european nations join the schengen area and a few years later EU-immigration was 200K per year. That is of course in addition to all the non-EU immigration and it was more than UK could handle.

British people complained and demanded that UK reduce immigration. Conservatives got into power by promising to reduce immigration, but failed and told people that they could not decrease immigration because of the EU. That is when UKIP came, and told people the real way to reduce immigration is by leaving the EU. Before the 2015 election, David Cameron promised a referendum on the EU if he got elected. He did, and before the referendum he went to the EU and asked for a few things like not giving child contributions for citizens not living in the UK. EU refused pretty much everything and said that the EU is not buffet where you can pick and choose. This was the last contributing factor that lead to brexit. If british people were told what EU would look like today in 1975, they would have never joined.

In fact, back then it was the left that was against the EU and the right who supported it. Just take a look at this map, and see who voted yes in 1975 and who voted leave in 2016

Again, if the EU is a tyrannical imposition on Britain, do a hard Brexit and leave now. The excuses are wearing thin.

Lets see... =
  • Nonsense. You seem to be completely clueless about N. Ireland vs Ireland.
  • What excuses? The current schedule was agreed to by the EU and the UK and is going to plan.
You seem to be just making up stuff that doesn't reflect reality of the situation at all.

Recently he was carrying on about how EU elites made a rule about keeping kippers cool. Turns out he didn't have a clue what he was talking about as it was a UK deal, had nothing to do with the EU.

Brexit will never happen and it will be the downfall for this pompous baboon.
