I like Tyra. I think she is a good role model for all women. I don't watch the show much but I watched the bathing suit episode b/c I just don't see how anyone could say that woman is fat! She's not as thin as she was as a model but she was too thin then IMO. She doesn't strike me as racist. She's just going for ratings.

well here's a bit of common sense for you... she's interacial, and has probably experienced negativity in her life because she is a minority. and I would venture to say she has been just pigeonholed as african american.. so she is sensative to those issues because it is what has effected her in her life. AND>>>>>> its her show.. so surprisingly she's going to talk about what is close to her heart with her opinions involved.
Its not like you're watching CNN or Fox news here people.. its not like she's providing facts and figures of the day... she's sharing a perspective.. thats why god gave u a remote control... *click*

one of her grandparents or something is white because i remember watching her on americas next top model.. and she mentioned something like that when she was talking to a girl about being interacial.. anyway.. point is.. she is percieved as a black woman, and in our society that is what she is.. thats all I'm saying.. so her points of view are going to be around that.. because its her show...

Why doesn't she have a show about just plain celebrating HOLLYWOOD? Why is it only BLACK Hollywood?

If the show host was Caucasian and had a show called "Celebrating White Hollywood" or "I'm A Proud White Woman" there would be outcries of racism. I guess you can blame it on the white women who watch this show and don't really care, and the media who brainwashes people into considering what is racist or not.

Maybe its because when other shows talk about Hollywood, there is no mention of stars who are Black, so she saw the need to do a show such as that.

There would be no need to do a white hollywood show because that is what is seen in the mainstream media today.

IMO that doesn't make Tyra a racist.

Try turning the question around...would the shows who don't talk about any black stars in Hollywood be considered racist?

I always see great black actors/actresses mentioned in mainstream Hollywood shows. I have no idea what the hell you're talking about, but it sounds to me as if you're pulling info out of your ass due to you providing no source to your statements.

Maybe its because Hollywood is generally a white majority anyway. Are you offended if someone wants to celebrate african-american's contributions to hollywood when they are obviously a minority in hollywood?

Why can't we have a White NBA Hall of Fame celebration then? There are lots of great black actors; the reason why they are the minority in Hollywood is because they're a minority in this country. To have a show purposely excluding all other races/cultures is racist and bigoted, pure and simple.

And not all black people are of African-descent. I live in a black-majority neighborhood are I don't think any of them are African.

The media has convinced people like you that this reverse-racism is acceptable. It's sad to see how widely accepted it is.
