Middle class people are actually Trump supporters for the most part.

I know how the libs throw out the "bc top 1%" garbage, but Trump has done a lot of good for your ordinary average, middle class Americans.
I have all those things. I don't consider wanting my tax dollars to go to making sure someone who gets sick doesn't lose their ass and life savings or helping a kid get his degree socialism.

See how ridiculous sweeping generalizations sound?

That's very naive. You'd be surprised to learn how economically tenuous much of the middle class really is.

Well, it is. Medicare for all and free college are socialist ideals.

I don't want people to wind up bankrupt either bc of medical bills but that's ultimately not my problem. That doesn't make me a bad person.

I took out loans to go to school and paid them back, so why would I support free college? Do I get reimbursed? The government is super shady with the student loans, and makes it very hard to get ahead of just the interest. That in itself pizzes me off.....our Government scams students/citizens who are trying to better themselves by going to college. Going to college to get good jobs to...pay more income tax back to the government. Student loans aren't like car payments where you pay X amount for X years and it's paid off. You're barely paying half the principle each payment. It's abhorrent to me that the Government lends money this way.

Screw Uncle Sam, he's getting the least amount possible from me.

You mean like credit card debt and stuff? Sure, plenty of people have that.

But in essence, middle class means just that. Not rich, but not poor. Homeowner, has insurance, has a decent job and car. Can afford to raise their kids sensibly.

Public Education?

Libraries?

Roads and Highways?

Police and Fire Protection?

Medicare?

All what come out of public funding, what you so sarcastically call "socialism". Last I checked, all of these are pretty popular with a majority of the American public.

No it doesn't. I understand the work ethic thing that's why I'm for college which helps someone who might have otherwise not gone. They have to put in the effort. We'll get that money back when they contribute instead of making them dependent on the state or low wage jobs. As far a medical, I'm no conspiracy theorist but something isn't right with that. There has to be a better way and I don't think it has to cost as much as it does. Someone needs to crawl up a few asses with that and I think Bernie can do it.

All of which should be voluntarily funded.

Oh, god, here we go. Big Bernie talking points.

The United States is not a socialist country. Not even close.

Basic needs are different than luxuries that bums demand as "rights".

Well, that's part of the public commons and part of what is required to live in a common society.

You one of those survivalist types who live off the grid, chop their own wood for fire, and live off of a dirt path? Or you should if you're going to practice what you preach.
