Million dollar plus fines don't work. Jail time or seizing assets might get some attention.

Make e verify. Work even individual notifying SS card holders when their number is being used will help.

A family- owned tree trimming company, based in Pennsylvania, was fines $96 million in 2017 for charges that go back to employment practice between 2010-14. The Fed opened an investigation in 2015.

I agree 100%.. You show me a trade that illegals dominate and Ill show you a trade where legals were lowballed out of the industry.

I think your compass is off.

The left has a set of criteria that believes will result in some sort of utopia.

Maybe for you it's about no taxes, no laws, fend for yourself, all government is evil - that's your utopia.

There is a middle ground. I realize that without boundaries, people will act a fool, and our society would be a mess. Those who are physically weak and financially challenged wouldn't stand a chance. It's best for there to be some form of reasonable government.

Make it unprofitable for businesses, burn through their godless profiteering, and illegals wont be able to find work here.

Trump deserves a similar fine as the slaughterhouse. He had to know they were illegal. By his own admission he knows EVERYTHING.

Punishing the poor by "seizing" assets is worthless. They haven't much to lose in many cases, and they came here because most had nothing at all. But slam the rich capitalists regularly and you will see a change almost overnight. The capitalists deserve jail time.
It's not just big corporations that hire illegal aliens but mid to small sized companies also. In fact the latter are more guilty than the former. There is no proof that Trump "knowingly" had any illegals working for him nor did he admit to knowing anything. Why does this nonsense keep getting repeated? Rich business owners don't hire manual laborers themselves. After that illegal woman got fired (she used fake or stolen documents to gain employment) Trump has been using e-verify on all of his properties.

Trump has had e-verify in his budgets but just like the Democrats did in the past they probably nixed it again because there was no mass amnesty included in it. Let the truth be known! It's not Trump nor the GOP that is opposing e-verify but the Democrats! Trump can't implement e-verify all on his own it has to go through congress and there never was a filibuster proof majority to get it passed.

Those few states that mandate eVerify of all employees created intentional loopholes to ensure passage to create a perception they were “ doing something”. The mandate does not apply to independent contractors who pay cash and the states do not audit businesses.

Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture/ Dairy, Tourism, and Hospitality all have powerful lobbies opposed to eVerify at the state and federal levels.

The US has knowingly been employing foreign workers in agriculture for well over 100 years.

There is no cap on H2A visas for temporary workers. The visa prescribes a minimum wage, employer- paid payroll taxes and workers comp insurance. The visa holder may bring their non- working spouse and children who attend US schools, receive SNAP benefits and healthcare.

The farms that rely exclusively on legal immigrant workers compete with those who hire undocumented workers. Obviously the latter has more opportunity to profit and negotiate price than the former.

Politics 101: Legislators don’t give without getting.

Think many Democrats are likely to trade DACA for eVerify. Even then, no certainty there would be enough Republican and Democrat votes to pass both chambers.

Illegal immigration became a tidal wave in the early 80’s. Since then, politicians on all sides have been blame throwing and deflecting while kicking the can.

But I'm not advocating for no boundaries or no rules. I am advocating for private property and the rights that should go with ownership.
Those who own it call the shots and if they run their house and property that is damaging to others, they pay the price. That is all the check thats needed and the only moral way to go about it.

My compass is off?
Does surrendering your individual/constitutional rights within a 100 miles of any border or ocean front, sound like "limited government"?
How about having your private business or home invaded by federal or state agents and having to prove on the spot you or your employees have a right to be there sound like "limited government"?
Does a federal mandate requiring hospitals provide services regardless of a patients abilty to pay sound like "limited government"?
Do some 83 federal govt welfare programs that rob and redistribute almost $8000 billion dollars a year sound like "limited government"?
You've built a trap with all your give-away schemes and rather than end them and leave everyone alone, you want to increase the size of the police state
End state administered welfare and privatize the border- that is moral, limited and reasonable.

Actually in the Trump Corp the hotel workers were using fake/stolen documentation, so taxes would be paid. In the slaughter house they were not paying federal taxes on their workers (paying under the table), thats what got them caught. The hiring illegals was secondary.

How would he know they were illegal? I've been asked that by pro illegals when talking about illegals. They always come back with how do tell a legal immigrant from an illegal alien.
