Have you ever wondered why Trump plays up to his buddy Vladimir? How is it that Trump continues to take the word of his bestie Putin over that of all the US intelligence agencies?

Trump's tariffs have hit US farmers below the belt. It is so bad that many farmers are going out of business with some committing suicide. Trump's tariffs have left China scrambling for suppliers and they found one in Russia. Russia, while unable to supply all the needs of China, has a solid buyer in China that looks like a permanent situation. Russia soy is also non-GMO and this is something the Chinese greatly appreciate. Trump has broken the backs of American farmers. Even when these tariffs are lifted the Chinese are not coming back.
Could Trump's tariffs been a strategy to shift China's crop needs to Russia? Regardless, Vladimir is rolling in the money and now plans expansions in order to satisfy the needs of the Chinese.

How about instead of a trade war, trump tried improving the country? We should step up our game here at home instead of trying to bully China, which is going to backfire on us.

The Russophobes never stop whining about how evil the Russians are- they've absconded with our soybeans and now our poor farmers are going out of business.

Meanwhile our delightful Chinese suppliers have bombarded us with so much stuff that 55,000+ US factories have closed since Bill Clinton signed the China PNTR Act on Oct. 10, 2000. One wonders how Bill Clinton was rewarded for his signature?

Farming sucked long before Trump ever got involved. Farming had one of the highest suicide rates of any occupation in America before Trump took office. The only reason you take notice now is because their suffering has become political fodder for the left. They love to laugh at people while they are down and out, particularly people like farmers who live a very independent life, free from group think and left wing indoctrination. People who pick themselves up by the bootstraps are the mortal enemy of the left, and must be crushed so leftist narratives and soul crushing socialism reign supreme over all the peasantry.

It doesn’t matter though to Trump’s base. All they care about is making brown people and gay people and people who aren’t the “right kind” of Christian suffer. They are truly drunk on their hatred. They are willing to suffer themselves if it means the people they hate get to suffer.

Lol

Tariffs are not bringing back jobs. They are killing manufacturing around the world. We're all going to be taking a reduction in our living standard at the rate things are going. The environmentalists are going to get their wish after all. I feel good about what we are doing because our money is no longer fueling a brutal authoritarian communist regime and military machine in China. One less problem for future generations to worry about

So, do nothing?

"U.S. goods and services trade with China totaled an estimated $737.1 billion in 2018. Exports were $179.3 billion; imports were $557.9 billion. The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with China was $378.6 billion in 2018."
