The El Paso shooter has leftist and right wing ideologies. The Ohio shooter was a pure leftist, who voted in Dem presidential primaries and planned to vote for Elizabeth Warren this year. A true leader would be discussing ways to move forward to prevent the mentally ill from obtaining guns instead of trying to score disgraceful partisan points against Fox News. Pistols, rifles, and shotguns I am fine with. Assault weapons I am not. If I can't protect myself with one of those weapons, I have no business shooting anything.
They are not automatic weapons. You have been around long enough on CD that I know you know the difference. BTW whatever preference you have then thats great. However who the heck are you to tell millions of law abiding rifle owners that they can't have their guns!!
The NRA sold this idea to the American public “The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.” It is becoming apparent that comment is not true, and is just an excuse for people to be armed anywhere and anytime they want. I have no problem with guns, or with people carrying them safely in places where they are unlikely to cause harm to others through accidental discharge, but hell if these good guys aren't really going to take out the bad guy, then I think we need to rethink the idea of allowing weapons in places like churches, shopping centers, concerts and theaters.
So, when the cops (with guns) arrived, the guy was already in metal bracelets.....
The government wants you unarmed in public, for their safety. Not the public's safety.
