100 rounds isn't even one good day at the range. My typical load is 3 firearms and 2 hours of range time that is usually 200 rounds. I'm constantly upgrading, swapping scopes or testing new recipes. Right now with this stupid non lead law I've got to whip up recipes for multiple platforms and we are talking about thousands of rounds to get back to where I had it before such a stupid law.

It is estimated that between 1.5 MILLION and 2.5 MILLION times a YEAR a gun is use to thwart a gun crime.

I can find MORE KIDS using guns for self defense then your entire list.

My kids know how to safely use a firearm and I have complete confidence when they are home alone they could use one if a someone tried a home invasion type move. First move is check cameras on cell phones. That will let them decide threat level.

Or another example or more as I have given such as on JROTC rifle team when it was like 160-200 rounds per shooter per week. Sighting in and three positions, 4 days a week.

Marksmanship is a highly perishable skill. If one is not practicing constantly, they're missing and missing is not a good thing.

Ammo, however, is more variable than gasoline in a hurricane. The prices and availability can change in a heart beat because a regulation was changed, some government buys it up, or even a politician makes a statement. (doesn't it seem just a little bit of tyranny when some politician says they are going to tax the hell out of it to get their way?).

So one buys ammo often to be able to maintain their skills.

Is there ever enough or even too much? Hard to say. In one of the ammo shortages of this century where we did not know how long the shortage would last, I bought the range's ammo even though I did have stocks. Why? Because I knew the range had the connections to always have ammo while I didn't have those connections.

It did, however, cost me to lean toward that philosophy. The range's ammo, for pistol, was often in the +$20 range while what I had in stocks I bought in the $teens.

So one buys often and often in bulk for cheaper prices........because just in so many walks of life, you never know when someone is going to cut your funding.

Yep, and since the only entity that would realistically initiate force upon you with weaponry the disposable rocket launcher was almost solely designed to defeat - mechanized armor - is the government itself, the Federalist Papers, Antifederalist Papers and virtually all the writing on the subject point to that specific type of arm being well within the 2nd's purview.

But the word "bazooka" is scary sounding, so the appeal to emotion/ridicule straw man gets tossed into every 2A discussion about what the Founding Fathers intended. The intent is perfectly clear from the wording itself - the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
