To those who voted "No," how do you know you haven't already voted for an atheist president? As someone correctly pointed out, there is no way to distinguish a moral religious person from a moral atheist, especially in politics, a career in which image is everything.

God/religion is a sales tactic conservatives tend be more likely to support a candidate that mentions God, etc.
Liberals don’t tend to care so much about God or religion as much, of course this gives conservatives the ammo they need to call liberals out. Those who feel the need for God/religion in politics are being duped and most know this.

I'm not so sure about the 'most' part, but yes, while I am sure there are genuinely religious people who feel called to run for office, my knee-jerk reaction is that most of the pols who claim religion are not quite telling the whole truth, and their voters let them get away with it.
Our founders said on many occasions that our system of government should ONLY HAVE Godly people running it. For the last few decades we have seen what Godless government is about, mostly at the hands of the demon worshipping DEM's. Open border, baby butcher, deviant sexual behavior, Dems are all about recreating Sodom and Gomorrah. The Bible has described this Godless generation in great detail !!!!!!!!

The only thing that Constitution says about religion is that establishment is prohibited and religious tests are prohibited.
Republicans want to both establish the US as an officially fundamentalist Christian nation with the Bible above the Constitution itself and create religious tests to guarantee only the religiously pure (people they approve of) can run for office. This goes to show which party really is anti-American, no matter how much flag waving they do.

For once, we agree. Because of course, if you can't claim that atheists are superior, then on logical grounds you can't claim that religious people are superior either.
