Worship of inequality demands immigration btw. In the current mental state it is an anathema to boost a worker' wage two fold because it undermines pecking order and reduces worker' fear factor, a big No in the wage slavery scheme of things. Thus importation a worker making the same wage as an american worker is more acceptable from a social control standpoint.

Why does "the deficit need[s] to be made up"?

What is wrong with decreased population? In the long run, it would put less of a strain on all our natural resources. Why do you find that to be a bad thing?

I see that you expect "conservatives" to solve all of this. It's good that you realize that liberals are worthless when it comes to such issues. Instead of working to fix it, libs work to make things worse.
I do not think you know Southern history much. But anyhow law&order conservative crowd reacts predictably to economic calamities creating a spike in a number of impoverished people.

People would rather believe that it's a lie ... strange but true.

Well, then someone needs to explain that to the American people and incentivize them to have children rather than replacing them with foreigners. The fact that these things are not happening means that our immigration policy is not about the economy; it is about race replacement.

Exactly. It wasn't about the environment then, and it's not about the economy now. It's about reducing the number of whites relative to the total population.

Even losing population isn't a bad thing. We don't have unlimited buildable land or potable water. Also, we don't need to keep losing green space.
There is nothing wrong with zero gain - - there's something bad about falling population and a super aging population.

Adam Smith: "The most decisive mark of prosperity of any country is the increase of the number of its inhabitants."

Mark Steyn (Fox commentator, guest of Tucker Carlson): "There is no precedent in human history for economic growth on declining human capital."

It doesn't get better. You can't skip generations of not having children.

The birth rate was 7.04 in the 1790 census. The only time it has ever increased was the Baby Boom that lasted 20 years. However, baby boomers had half the kids that their parents had.

By 2050, the population of 65-and-overs will be 13 million more than the population of kids aged 14-and-younger. The country's population will match Florida's today.

That doesn't mean there's a labor shortage.

Stop supporting tax cuts for the rich and start supporting $15 minimum wages. You'll start having those Murican kids you want.

Pay the market rate, and you will get your workers.
That poster keeps claiming that there is a "labor shortage" even when he has been proven wrong. I don't know why he keeps playing that broken record.
