Fine with Trump having sex with a stripper while his wife, a porn model, is home with a new baby.

Fine with his constant lies and racist rhetoric.

But they draw the line at using the Lord's name in vain?

Jesus take the wheel.
The first time it was a group of affluent Dallas area housewives interviewed in the home of one of the women.

The second time, a year...or two years later, it was another group of like minded women (I can't remember the location).

Both times this was on CNN, and both times some of the women mentioned that they think Trump was sent by God to be President .

Oh yes they should !! The Presidency of this country is not on the same level as being some small town committee member.........this position is who we hold up to the world as who we are as a nation. We expect this person to have honor, dignity, kindness, intelligence, and compassion. We told our children "Some day you could even grow up to be President of this great country !"

Even some of our less popular Presidents, over the years, have maintained a high level of professionalism and decorum. They were our rock and our PRESIDENT. When they met with other world leaders, we expected them to act mature, respectful, and sane.

But you and I agree on that one point you made, Donald Trump doesn't act very Presidential.

The more one goes back in time, the more the thought 'the public saw what we wanted them to see, not what was actually real' was the case. Think, historically, of how FDR's maladies were largely hidden from the public, and the same with some other Presidents before him. That would probably be impossible today. When you were 5, under 62% of American households had a phone. Domestic jet travel didn't start until you were 14. Things used to be much slower. There was less communication, less travel, and the internet and cell phones with cameras weren't serving to tie everything together. It was much easier to make public figures seem like people who should be looked up to. That's great that you had that feeling, and that you espoused that feeling to your kids, but that doesn't mean that those presidents deserved that reverence.

Of course. And of course that is something that the public can witness in a more transparent manner, but, in my book, that transparent point isn't enough to make someone a role model.

Probably has to do w/ the Supreme Court selections - they'd give up some of their values to ensure others are covered in court rulings (LGBT, Abortion, etc). The greater good sort of thing.

Your OP was based on some nonsense from some crank who is paid to churn out that nonsense for fodder like you. Nothing factual about it, just opinion & hearsay.

I feel bad for you son. November 2020 is going to be a very rude awakening for you.

Trump is his own worst enemy and to make matters worse Trump is an embarrassment to this great country.

The majority of Conservatives on this forum don’t give a damn about this country, you voted with hate for the liberals nothing else it was pure hate. You choose to ignore Trumps childish behavior even when it’s caught on video. You choose to also ignore the that Trump doesn’t give a damn about the people who build this country and those who still do. You bring up Hillary/Obama every chance you get trying to deflect his actions.

Logic is NOT your friend. You TRULY believe that some spoiled rich, man child cares about you or me just goes to show how sadly naive you are. If Trump wins again in 2020 this country will suffer the fact that you singled me out, once again proves your all about party NOT country.
I'm with you.

Don't worry.. I doubt that Rumpie will win anything, ever again.

Is this it?

Is it their commitment to forcing their twisted take on "Love one another," on the everyone behind this?

I get the they think they are God's chosen people.

But how does a religion with parables like the Good Samaritan get twisted into hating on immigrants, Muslims, Mexicans, LBGT, etc.?

How does a religion with Commandments about not bearing false witness or committing adultery evolve into picking Trump as their hero?

-circle of advisers being put in prison
-high turnover of the staff he selected for variety of scandals, incompetence, or gross disagreement with him.
-high vacancy of important director jobs throughout gov't
-rejects National Security briefs/advise and rejects that Russia was involved in influencing our election and will influence future elections.
-elevating N. Korean dictator murder to world leader
-doing nothing when journalists get dismembered by his personal friend/business associate in S. Arabia
-continually lying to the American public as documented by WaPo (over 10,000 lies documented)
-Trade war results in American taxpayer needed to subsidize/grant Farmers $12 billion as a short term bail
-Mex wall going nowhere
-Campaigned to eliminate 10 mil illegals in the country - nothing done there.
-Creates fake crisis with caravans
-Obstructed justice approx ten times by firing FBI director because he didn't promise to stop Flynn investigation.
-Daily tweets have brought the Office of Presidency down to an all-time low - it'll take years to clean up what he's doing.

The only thing he has going for him is the economy he inherited and economists think we're headed to a RECESSION.

Maybe.. maybe not but at the same time the president shouldn’t act like he’s at a frat party and he’s the only one there. He’s supposed to represent people of the United States yet he only represents those who voted for him, so they think he does. In the end he supposed to speak for all of us at this three-quarter of us.

A Trump-supporting West Virginia state senator who represents many evangelicals got three phone calls from constituents complaining about Trump’s profanity after a recent rally.

Paul Hardesty didn’t pay much attention to President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Greenville, N.C., last month until a third concerned constituent rang his cellphone.

The residents of Hardesty’s district — he’s a Trump-supporting West Virginia state senator — were calling to complain that Trump was “using the Lord’s name in vain,” Hardesty recounted.

The third phone call is when I actually went and watched his speech because each of them sounded distraught,” Hardesty, who describes himself as a conservative Democrat, said.

Here’s what he would have seen: Trump crowing, “They'll be hit so goddamn hard,” while bragging about bombing Islamic State militants. And Trump recounting his warning to a wealthy businessman: “If you don't support me, you're going to be so goddamn poor.”

Trump has always been good when it comes to putting his foot in his mouth. Things like this could be his start of downward spiraling.
Just get out and vote. There is no such thing as a lord. There is only Trump and there is only keeping our taxes low. If you're fanatical enough to believe in fairy tales, that is your problem, but you need to vote Republican no matter what to prevent the Dims from taking office and putting in place their socialist agenda.
