I live on an Island filled with Italian Americans, from Bay Ridge to Montauk. I have relatives who are Italian, friends who are Italian and even I am a little Italian.
Never once did I ever hear of Fredo, not even once, as an insult for Italians. I have heard of "Wop", which is definitely an insult or "Guido" which these days less an insult but more a type of young Italian male.

My personal opinion is Chris Cuomo wanted to be outraged. Seems everyone wants to be a victim these days.
I never heard it but it was added as an Urban Dictionary definition... Then again people spammed the page with a lot of Chris Cuomo definitions as well...
