Satire should be acceptable form of comedy, regardless of politics. Everyone knows blackface used in satirical context is not racism. Dressing like a goofy looking Nazi and using humor to highlight and mock antisemitism of course is not anti-Semitic. Left wing nuts just trying to decimate all forms of speech, destroying artistic expression in the process.
I believe this to be very true. Look at Kimmel's past on the Man Show. Along with items mentioned already, like blackface and being very denigrating to women, he's also done skits like trick women into signing a petition to take away their right to vote, and on and on.
If the Hollywood elite wanted to, he would be gone now. So he has some shield around him. For now at least.

They really fixed him up too. He was one frumpy looking dude and now he's all cleaned up and spit shined for prime time. And he got a new wife and kids too, a whole new fancy Hollywood sellout life.
He's a keeper but anyone who is willing to be honest cannot pick on Silverman or anyone else who has ever done non-PC humor in the past. They have not gone after Howard Stern either and he had said and done the worst of things during his radical shock jock period. It is easier to scapegoat those who don't produce the big money, of course.
