Note it. That $50 BILLION is being dolled out like the lottery. That is not a bandaid, that is a heart transplant. These guys are making bank and it's nothing more than Trump using my tax dollars to buy farmer votes while they cash the government checks.
Farms, especiallyy in Kansas, can be huge operations. You don't even know what you're outraged about.
It was known that this would happen. Did you care about all the people that lost manufacturing work in the last 30 years here? Or hate them when they used government programs and money available to them?
It depends, did they rail against socialism while taking my tax dollars? This is about farmers. These farmers already receive massive subsidies and now we are throwing billions at them. It's ridiculous and stupid all so we can pay higher prices ourselves in the form of tariffs.
And don't forget, we are borrowing money from China to pay farmers not to sell to China.

It's not about farmers it's about your ignorance of agriculture.

I know sending $700,000 to a farm in Kansas and $50 BILLION to less than 2% of the population is beyond ridiculous. I also know that Trump has probably destroyed the Chinese marker for farmers as they are developing new sources. Farmers may want to look at getting jobs now.

You hate trump so much you can't even maintain a thought.
You just said farmers are making bank. Now you say they may want to get jobs. Which is it?

Farmers are making bank in the form of free money paid by taxpayers. That gravy train WILL END. And when those farmers wake up and realize China found new suppliers and they grow too much of...everything, many of them will need to sell off and get jobs.
This country is not going to keep giving farmers $50 BILLION dollars.
When a newspaper is printing lists of all the farmer handouts in the newspaper like they are lottery winners, so their neighbors can read how much of their tax money the farmers got, that becomes repulsive. One farm got over $700K, another over $540K and that's from a list of only two states. Two farms, over a million dollars.

Your thoughts on agriculture are free entertainment at this point.
Farmers aren't free. They are extremely expensive. In fact, an ear of corn is probably about $25 dollars with all the handouts they are getting. Time for them to go get jobs.
This thread is full of people that only know farming from what the lying msm tells them. Farmers are vastly different one from another. Some are small dairy farms with 30 cows and some land for crops. Some raise cattle or sheep or chickens. Some raise cotton in west Texas, on only 500 acres and some on 5000 or more. The topic of farmers is vast and complicated, even for expert. If you think you know what you're talking about from propaganda from the msm, who claim to be experts based on sitting at a computer in NYC, you're sadly mistaken.
Yes, there are some rich farmers, but there's a lot that don't make much and work other jobs to support themselves, cause the farm pays so little. And a lot of these poor folks go broke, and some sadly kill themselves because they know no other life.
The problem is large scale farming and industrialization.
This doesn't just happen in corporate farms, but family owned ones too. The massive application of chemicals and factory style methods all for more money.

Do you have any understanding how the farm bill works and how much of the moneys allocated to the farm bill actually end up in the hands of Farmers? I think not.... Frankly I'm OK with your suggestion of suspending aid to farmers as long as we kill the farm bill in it's entirety....
