That's irrelevant to the discussion.

So now - its the whole world who are now being "held back" by people with religious beliefs - Amazing.

We went from the Pope. The US. To everyone who has religious beliefs. To religious believers worldwide holding back the whole world!

Well - inasmuch as the majority of the worlds population are "bible humpers" according to your definition - then the world is going to come to a halt -

LOLOLOL

You have lots to learn obviously
I was overstating. If it'd make you feel better, change world to "united states".

We went from the Pope, to the Catholic Church, and then to it's influence in the US and how it's holding back the US. (changed world to US).
I fail to see how that's bouncing around the room. It's perfectly logical to me.

I am glad he came. Wish he would come down south here. I saw John Paul once and it was really awesome.

How about the Rev. Sun Myung Moon? What are the actual differences between these two? What forms of human progress have been meaningfully advanced by the Pope in the three years since his election?

DID YOU KNOW....

That Catholics are pretty liberal? They are actually MORE in favor of some issues, like stem cell research and gay marriage, than the general population?

As the chart will show, it is the Hispanic Catholics who more closely follow the Church's stance on several issues, while White Catholics are more mainstream.

Crowd arrives early for papal Mass

People began arriving at Washington's baseball stadium at 5 a.m. Thursday for a 10 a.m. Mass to be celebrated by Pope Benedict XVI.

The pope is scheduled to arrive at Nationals Park at 9:30 a.m. and circle the field in the "popemobile" before ascending the altar and presiding over the Mass for an estimated 46,000 of the faithful and the curious.

That's not the job of the Pope.

How many Catholic universities are doing advanced research in a variety of fields in the US alone?

Your question is silly.

And I think they may also operate a hospital or two.

Not to mention the only functioning school systems in several major cities.
