Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and JFK also lost a lot.

Trump managed to lose almost a billion dollars running a casino, among other things. It didn't take the presidency for him to lose money, he's just an inept businessman who inherited a lot of money and scammed his way to more, although not nearly as much as if he had just put his inheritance into an index fund.

And yes, he promised to release his tax returns, claimed he would do as soon as they were no longer under audit. And then reneged on that promise, like so many of the thousands and thousands of other lies he's told.

Jimmy Carter had to give up his peanut farm to become President. Why does Trump not have to relinquish his businesses again?

Forbes and Bloomberg estimated Trump's wealth - at the high end - to be between $3 and $3.7 billion. Trump said this has cost him $3-5 billion. Sounds to me like he's laying the ground work to admitting he is $2 billion in debt, probably to the Saudis.

You've obviously never spent much time around the wealthy because there's not a one of them that isn't looking to increase their assets. Not one.

Oh, and yes, they can absolutely be bought off. It will just cost you more than an average slub....

He is doing it for us.
Self sufficiency, is the ultimate freedom & liberty.
He has never release ANY documents regarding his wealth. So your statement is without any basis,.

How did the prison reform bill "help" Trump?

How did the "Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of 2017" help Trump?

How did the H.R.1306 - Western Oregon Tribal Fairness Act help Trump?

How did the S.1536 - Combating Human Trafficking in Commercial Vehicles Act help Trump?

also:
H.R.228 - Indian Employment, Training and Related Services Consolidation Act of 2017
H.R.3949 - VALOR Act
H.R.1329 - Veterans' Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2017
H.R. 339 - Northern Mariana Islands Economic Expansion Act

Well?

Well?
Want to name all the ways Trump has profited, starting with his tax reform bill? All the foreign dignitaries that have stayed in his properties or bought his condos? All the patents China gave Ivanka and all the top secret knowledge Ivanka and Jared now have and will continue to have long after Trump is gone? The deals Jared made with Qatar and all the wheeling and dealing with the Saudis? How about all the glad handing that has been going on with mining, the latest in Alaska where Trump's Environmental Polluting Agency has decided to kill one of the largest salmon fisheries in the world in Bristol Bay in favor of copper mining that will absolutely kill the salmon there? Trump charges government agencies hundreds of thousands of dollars to host meetings at his properties now as well as charges the Secret Service to stay at his hotels, use his elevators, rent his golf carts and maintain a presence at Trump Tower paying higher than anyone ever has. Let's not pretend here.
