If two-thirds of Americans are really fine with regulating "assault" rifles, then by all means, amend the constitution. It should be relatively straightforward and can be done by just requiring 34 state legislators to call a constitutional convention.

Two-thirds of Americans support assault weapons ban: Fox News poll

How about stating the true story ? "Two-thirds of the PEOPLE POLLED support assault weapons ban:" If you could actually poll all Americans, I doubt that those would be the results. As we know , polls are seldom accurate. They usually reflect the results that the pollsters want.

I'd say 1/2 of all Americans don't know which end of a gun the bullet comes out of.

Well, T said it that the NRA paid for him to get there so that's that for him. The people are secondary, but hey we knew that already.

We have a 2nd amendment. Don't like it, amend it using the constitution. The NRA cannot prevent this. And they don't possibly have enough money to bribe enough state legislators.

I have a question what do you call a "assault" weapon when you use it to defend yourself? I mean if assault and defense is a action, isn't a AR15 or AK a "defense weapon" when using it for defense?

I mean if a person uses a AR15 to defend from a maniac assaulting them with a AR15 how can you assault a assaulter ?
