This ^^^ is one of the most restrictive work environments. You're literally hired to work off a script.

But not every job is like that - not even every corporate job.

Just because you're not a good fit for a particular job isn't a sign of society's decay.

Ok...what's the problem? I still have no idea what the point of this thread is.

If the job changes like that, quit and find something else. Either adapt to the job, approach your boss and ask your duties to be changed, or quit. I don't get where your moral outrage is coming from.
