The two events are at exactly the same point. You really have no honor. But thanks for exposing it because while you may lie and obfuscate, all the other readers can look at the chart and see. What tariffs occured in 2011-2012? And "for all you know" the rise in 2018 could be the result of something other than tariffs.
One can see the low dip in PPI occurs halfway between 2010 and 2012. That would be 2011. One can also see the low dip in CPI occurs halfway between 2010 and 2012. The high points for both are also just after 2012, a little before halfway between 2012 and 2014.
Couldn't rep you again, but thanks for posting that.
It's interesting that PPI was basically flat for 5 straight years during which time the CPI decreased from about 105 points to 80 points or a difference of 25 points.
If tariffs really did cause PPI to increase, it only increased 6 points, which suggests manufacturers could easily absorb the costs instead of passing them on, but have chosen not to do so.
In any event, the CPI is still less than it was in 2012.

Speak for yourself. The events between 2010 and 2012 occurred at different points in time on both charts.
And I still don’t see how that’s relevant to tariffs being passed....
Tariffs aren't costing me a grand. What cost me a hell of a lot more however was the ACA that the democrats forced upon us.
It amazes me how suddenly the democrats care about working-class America.
They didn't care when they sold out with NAFTA. Didin't care as they made it so easy for companies to avoid penalties for leaving. Didn't care when they made the lop-sided trade deals that killed American manufacturing. But, suddenly they care?
Horse sheet plain and simple.
Tariffs will cost us more, but dubbing the minimum wage for unskilled, no responsibility workers won't? Right.

Republicans worked with them to sell us out on trade deals.

No doubt about it and that is why I am an Independent. In this case it is the democrats crying about Tariffs. We played nice with the Chinese and we got screwed for it. We have played nice since Bill Clinton made their dreams come true. Now we the common people paid for all that.

It's sad that the only thing our two pathetic sides have "successfully" worked together on is selling out the common American to globalization, the NWO and creation of easily exploitable slave populations and pollution on an insane global scale.
You have a CHOICE to spend more to buy that new electronic doodad.
Do you think we should lower corporate taxes to reduce the amount consumers pay or are you only concerned when it's Chinese products?
Sure, s-end more on equal or slightly better. You’re paying the difference, not china. So you pay for your choice. It’s a tax on your choice. Lol.
