Obama gives speeches, as most all former Presidents do. They are all paid handsomely for those events. Ronald Reagan was paid $2,000,000 for a few speeches in Japan in 1989. Even you have to admit that was a large sum back then.

Michelle Obama also is paid extremely well for her speeches and TV appearances. She also has a best selling book (very interesting—I have read it). If they are making big bucks, why shouldn’t they spend it.

Do you know if Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, gives away huge sums? I have never heard of him doing that. What about the many sports figures who earn $ millions—do you hold them to the same standard you apply to the Obama’s? I think I see some partisanship in your concern about how the Obama’s make their money. None of us know how Trump earned the supposed billions he says he has.

How does the country avoid such income inequities? Tax the rich? Works for me.

My family was laughing the other day about a ball player making 36 million a year. We did the math. Any family would do well with a lifetime income of 10 million dollars.

The Obamas couldn't have PICKED a more obvious, and significant symbol to signal their utter HYPOCRISY. For people that make "OPTICS" a religion, they certainly must not care what people think anymore, and that's fine. It is their right to be liars.

Obama gave 350 million to Pearson Publishing for Common Core texts and in return got a nice $65 million dollar book deal from them.. NIce Quid Pro Quo.. and that book deal is a nice kick back because no one ever gets $65 million for a book deal. No one. Obama got back some taxpayer money for giving the deal to Pearson Publishing. BIG KICK BACK.

That is how they become filthy rich on our tax dollars. And the democrats want to keep the pot full by raising our taxes to steal more from us.

It is always funny when democrats become fabulously rich being "the servants of the people".

Tom Harkin (D), a former senator from Iowa, saw his net worth increase from $400K to $28 million after 24 years in the US senate. He additionally did not even live in the US for the last 9 years of his "service", living in the Bahamas.

Dem politicians don't give a rip about the causes they presumably support. They are just pandering to an uninformed base in order to gain wealth.

Common Core morphed out of No Child Left Behind. It is the result of the all national governors wanting some unity in what was being taught, so team red created Common Core.

Your concern needs to be not so much on a perceived kickback to Obama, but why was a British company permitted to buy up all the textbook and testing publishing companies used in the USA public school systems.

If we want to support American business, why give over our education system to the Brits? Yes, Pearson has a branch in San Antonio, but the company is British.

Funny trumpists do not even want to know how much more $ Trump and his cabal will make between 2017-2021. US officially joined the 3rd world where presidency means immediate and major wealth boost to a president and his cronies. No waiting for book and speech deals. Frequently the wealth boost is too big to allow an honest +/- election.
