Trump is not the cause of the trade war, because the trade war started long before he was president. Trump simply decided it was time to fight back, instead of ignoring it. And the Chinese have retaliated and made some bold moves of their own. We shall see how they play their cards.

When the USA sent a car to China, it was a 25% tariff was slapped on that item. A car coming to the USA had about 3%. Yes, we were in a trade war long before Trump, you were just asleep. And a whole lot of other people were getting too rich to care what happened to America or it's once thriving middle class and industrial might.
