You are impossible to debate with. All you did (upthread) was make a big stink about how illegals pitch in $11.6 billion in taxes - and ignored completely how much more than take out in benefits! Estimates are that they pay in $10,000 in taxes a year (including sales tax, local taxes, etc.) but take OUT $25,000. Why are you so intent on defending people with an average 10th grade education, who come here illegally and are "net takers"? All because we need someone to pick tomatoes?
A big reason that Americans "won't do these jobs" (which is arguable in and of itself) is because illegals have driven down the wages so low.
Side question: How can liberals argue for an increase in minimum wage to $15 at the same time they are advocating for the importation of illegals who will do that work, under the table, for a third of that? You have two opposing positions!
This is a similar racist comment like Biden saying you need to speak Indian when going to a 7-11 or a gas station that the media ignores because it was said by someone on the left.
Mow your own damn lawn. Or don't hire companies that hire illegal aliens, make them prove it to you. If you only care about how much it costs you and are willing to overlook this then you are part of the problem. We've never hired anyone for yard work. Until a few years ago we had kids at home for that and now we do it ourselves.

This whole yard work thing is hilarious. People **** and moan all the time about kids not working, one of those jobs used to be yard work, without recognizing that the "neighborhood kid with a mower and clippers" has been replaced by adults working for a LLC or other registered business entity.
And we know the near future it will be robots and computers taking over. Walmart and Target are experimenting with self checking lanes, and the Chillis by me is experimenting with this computer on each table where you order from that, the cook brings you the meal, and you can pay from that as well. This is sad because waiters/waitresses already make below minimum wage as it is, relying on tips, and it's one of the few jobs students take while working through college.
Yep we especially don't need illegals or even legal immigrants doing the few jobs that are left after automation. There's really no such things as a job Americans won't do, just wages and conditions that don't meet what the market demands.
The modern Democrat plantation owners could afford to pay free market American citizen labor, they just don't want to so they can be even more comparatively superior. The real trick is they even got their plantation workers to vote for them.
As far as the crops go. Release all the inmates with drug offenses with the stipulation they have to work on a farm or a food processing plant for a year. Problem solved.
If we're going to subsidize illegals to the tune of $120+ billion a year, and all we get is more agricultural workers out of it, it would be a lot cheaper to just directly subsidize American agricultural worker force. It would be better in every other way under the sun. Even better if agriculture would just pay market rate and stop passing the cost on to the public.

And it's BIG business. Even our small area has so many LLCs that do this. Are we all so rich and lazy?
I wish I could find illegals who would do my landscaping and other chores around the house for five bucks an hour! Illegals I hire get at least $11 (minimum wage n my state) and usually a good deal more if they have a truck and a sign. Why would they work for less? There is such a serious labor shortage here that most illegals go into better paying positions in the home building industry leaving a real shortage of labor in household services.
$11/hour is cheap! Going rate for day labor where I live is $20/hour, $25/hr if they are using chain saws and weed whackers. I would hardly call that "driven down wages" yet when I hire off Craigslist, it is always Latinos never Americans.
Democrats want to be rich but can't afford to hire American white or black labor, therefor they're not really rich are they? If they can't mow their own lawns, they should reconsider their lifestyle choices. Also by hemorrhaging the middle class of good paying jobs and pushing down wages with illegal immigration, they can feel more elitist and "rich" over their fellow Americans.

Another right winger ignoring all those red state employers of illegals. Lol.
Maybe one day you'll ask yourself why Republicans never actually want to fix immigration...
