don't understand people who vilify Koch, a man who spent his own money as he pleased, including donating millions to charity, but civility is scarce these days.
Koch did as much for the environment as Bernie Sanders, Al Gore and all of the other Democrats.
Nothing.
These limo liberals ride around on private jets and own massive homes but then lecture us about carbon emissions. if you believe CO2 is gonna kill us, your lifestyle should match that belief.
It doesn't for Democrats. that's how you know they don't believe it .... the point of global warming is to scare up votes for Democrats.
That's the typical leftist view but not supported by polling and crowd size. It was his support of open borders and war hawk thing that did him in. He didn't have a strong conservative base.
McCain was largely parroting the standard "free market" Republican platform.
He was very your standard "conservative" politician
A company firing a person for saying something like that it isn't a violation of freedom of speech.
What's crazy is Koch and Maher were aligned on most issues outside of taxes.
Koch was pro abortion, pro open borders, anti-Trump, etc.
A lot of liberals try to pretend like they only hate social conservative but their hatred of Koch shows they hate fiscal conservatives as much if not more.
The Koch brothers also built up a huge network of "conservative/right-wing" think-tanks that forms the backbone of the free-market conservative movement.
To say that they are not the representative of mainstream conservatism is pretty disingenuous to say the least...
'I'm glad he is dead and I hope the end was painful' - Bill Maher
Back in the day, a comment like this would get a person fired from a tv show. He's gonna get a pay raise because he's serving up that red meat hate for HBO's liberal audience.
Well, they fired him from TV because of a basic comment about pushing buttons to launch missiles. How dare anything consider that it doesn't take bravery to push a button from 600 miles away!
That's why we have cable and sirius and stuff today. Freedom, right?
No one on the right has any status to talk about comments like this....if you can swear on your Bible that you have never been to Breitbart or one of MANY other such sites with constant comments 10X worse.....
And if you swear you never watched or listened to any of those pundits going over the top???
If you have not, you are the chosen one and have a perfect right to comment on incivility. If, on the other hand, you have (and odds are great), then you are just another hypocrite.

The Kochs have caused millions to suffer - from pollution. They have shaved time off our lifespans.
This was done purposely for profit. Given the choice between having 30 Billion and having more Americans living with cleaner air, water and land...and having 42 Billion and killing a number of them....the Kochs always choose the later.
It's a conscious choice.
I value their business sense. Their patriotism and/or caring about others...not so much. As public figures who are perhaps #1 in the history of the current Monster we call "the radical right", they certainly are not some good citizens just standing by.
Put it this way. If there is a hell, Koch will be way deeper there than bit players like Scalia. From building Hitlers and Stalins refineries to squashing hopes of America being cleaner and more efficient, they have done the exact opposite of what decent people would do.

There's more to being conservative than for low taxes.
So you think being pro abortion and pro open borders is representative of conservatism. Do explain that one to me.
The Koch bros didn't support Trump and campaigned against him.
Socialists like you hate the Kochs b/c they were for low taxes.

I don’t remember it that way. I thought he was fired because, after he said it takes bravery to do what the 9/11 hijackers did, companies didn’t want to advertise on his show anymore.
