The program was stopped by President Barack Obama mainly because it was so effective at warning employers.
Our government knows the name, address, and place of employment of millions of illegal workers … These jobs should be for Americans and legal workers … the market would bring wages up to $15 an hour for more workers if we didn’t have so much illegal employment.
Yeah, as if lazy American workers would stoop so low and work so hard to take these jobs. Hell, we can't get people to show up for cushy jobs in the AC, do you really think they are going to be breaking down doors to get 12-16 hour jobs in the boiling heat, and get their little manicured hands dirty ?
If aliens, legal and illegal, were suddenly gone, you would see a major collapse of our economy and a lot of things not getting done. I know Trumpees will never believe that, but it is a fact of life.
However, if anyone here wants to get something like a landscaping job, they are there for the picking.

This can be controlled through legal immigration, work visa etc. Once the illegal immigration problem is solved you can consider raising quotas. Any argument that we need illegal aliens is just nonsense because we have the means allow people into the country as needed or wanted.

Illegal aliens are not competing jobs against Anglo-Saxon protestant Americans. They are competing jobs against poor working class americans(mostly Hispanics and blacks) and legal immigrants with limited English/education (remember, we imported 1 million legal immigrants each year and many of them are here via family-based visas, not skill based visas)

That needs to be reinstated and E-Verify needs to be enforced. One of the issues with trying to control illegal immigration is the immigrants have nothing to lose and everything to gain. We need to start going after the enablers who do have something to lose - employers and landlords.

Uh, the immigrants we are talking about here ARE Hispanic. They certainly are not lazy, just look at how many of them are up before you today, and out earning a living doing hard, manual labor.
