For those who don’t understand what a corporation is, a corporation is merely a group of people VOLUNTARILY organized together to provide certain goods and services.

So why are they evil?

Human nature. Individuals put themselves first, understandably. It is very easy for people to do horrible things to others when it benefits them personally.

Very easy for someone to cut the pay of 1,000 people when it nets them a 10% raise. Very easy for people to knowingly sell bad securities that end up tanking the US economy when they are banking a million a year etc. There is a barrier between the actions of individuals at corporations and the impact of their decisions.

Corporations reward this type of behavior because their ultimate goal is profit. Anyone who has worked in a corporate environment will tell you the type of people that move up the ladder quickly are not only those that are talented and hard working but also those who are willing to do things most others aren't.

Are you asking why corporations are evil or asking why should anyone think they are?

I'm not necessarily saying they're (corporate management and owners) evil, but they love money and put it above everything else. Greed gives rise to selfish and wicked actions. The love of money is the root of all evil.

Corporations are in it for the money. The love of money is the root of all evil. Corporations counted the same as people only made them more evil and allied with the government from their corporate donations.

Corporations are not people.

A corporation is just a business structure. Not inherently evil. Some are, of course.

An LLC or sole proprietorship can be evil too.

They are not any more evil than any of us. The OP has been brainwashed by Leftist propaganda to hate corporations because they generate lots of wealth.

Corporations provide jobs for billions of people and products that we all use every minute of our lives.

And that benefits the millions of US workers/retirees who have $28 trillion invested in their pension/retirement accounts via stock shares, corporate debt, etc.

The apolitical definition of a corporation...I have no problem with. It means, in a stateless society, a voluntary collective with a purview strictly limited to the adherents. Your voluntary collective is able to negotiate business matters at a swifter, more efficient clip (in theory) through voluntary private insurance, voluntary private resolution councils, and voluntary private criminal justice proceedings...if that's how you want to roll.

The political definition of a "corporation" is a legal term and only exists under the State. It is a State subsidiary licensed to effectively operate outside the State's laws and regulations when it's not writing and enforcing them on the State's behalf. A corporation, in this setting, is a statist creation and an abomination. Pure evil.

I know the posters who will accept this truism and the ones who will not. Should we start signing our names to the bottom?
