First off it is a falsehood that this is a liberal lie, it was the oil company geologists who said that oil reserves were going to be exhausted soon. Secondly, even today the known reserves are projected to run out in 2060. But the "known" reserves keep getting updated every year by the geologists. So this is a non-story.
We are the leading producer of Oil in the world, and a net exporter of energy. We want stability in world oil markets as world energy pricing and U.S. energy pricing is dependent upon uninterrupted supply in the Middle East, and elsewhere.
It is in our best interest to not have wars, but do things to enhance stability in the Mid East. Trump knows this, obviously Obama didn't as he increased instability there through more wars.

What does that have to do with oil? You have an obsession with Fox News. Maybe CNN, NBC/MSNBC (Comcast), ABC (Disney), CBS, PBS, NYT, Washpo are unbiased, right? Fox news, and the more right leaning media are about 1% - 5% of total media. The rest are Democrat Propaganda outlets.
Peak oil in terms of conventional sources was predicted spot on, but now that new sources and technology to recover those sources has been created, we can keep heating this planet up until human civilization collapses.

I bought into the peak oil prediction hype. The logic is sound.....however the prediction of "when" appears to have been considerably off.
Here is the thing....99% of things we are told.....we have no way or knowing if they are true or not. Essentially we are all brainwashed into what to think and believe.....by the people and entities we choose to TRUST. We essentially gravitate to trust those who has said things we want to believe and distrust those who have said things in the past that we don't want to believe.
A liberal can say something that is true, but a conservative will reject it based upon the history of the liberal saying things that conservatives don't like to hear or disagree with. A conservative can say something that is true, but a liberal will reject it based upon the history of the conservative saying things that liberals don't want to hear and disagree with. Conservatives don't trust liberal thought and liberals don't trust conservative thought. However, the masses have no idea what it actually true about most things, like climate change, peak oil, etc.
