Here’s something to chew on: just read Trump has already cost taxpayers 278 years of annual salary just for his golfing vacations.
Yeah, I'm calling BS on this. The president is paid $400,000 a year, plus an extra expense allowance of $50,000 a year, a $100,000 non-taxable travel account and $19,000 for entertainment.
So you're saying he's costed the tax payer $158,182,000, just for golfing ?
Isn't it hurricane season right now in Florida? It would be better to have the G7 where there is zero chance of a hurricane.
Also-- what nobody has addressed is that the closer the conference is to a major city -- the bigger likelihood of MAJOR protests. That's part of the reason the G7 and G20 are sometimes held in more remote locations...easier to secure and less likely to attract huge protests.
This whole this is so mismanaged. Of course Trump is ethically playing with endorsing his business while in office. That's his skill --- selling his brand. Of course he would make money if the G7 was held at his property. Federal govt. regulations in the USA say that federal govt. has to pay full going rates for use of facilities in order not to be perceived as being bought to use a facility -- lololol.
Anyways ---- Trump's admin. should have presented three options or four -- and of course, set it up that the Doral is without a doubt the best facility. Trump should not have annoucned it at G7. He could have announced he has a committee looking for facilities and there will be more later.
But spending 10 minutes (yeah I played with that number you get the point) selling HIS property to the press that day made it most definitely seem as he is cashing in on the event for personal gain.
He and his staff are clueless. It is different when you are President. There are guidelines, optics that matter or should.
And yes, the base doesn't care......as long as he is a Republican who cares what he says and does...
We have crossed so many lines with this PResidency that when there is a Democrat in office who follows the same tactics, Republicans/conservatives will FREAK out -----
But the line has been crossed -- there is no line in the sand so to speak.

Just a paltry 109 Million. So 272.5 times his annual salary (based solely on the 400K number) that he so humbly doesn't take.

What is that, roughly $3 or $4 per taxpayer ? I'll even give it $10. I'm fine with that, it is worth the hours of entertainment I get from this site and watching the news.
Trump said on Monday that he would not be making any money off the next G-7 meeting
He also said he had a health care plan ready to replace Obama care and Mexico would pay for the wall.
