Sounds like the coworker is more gracious and understanding than most of the people who are freaked out about it. If he can get over it, I'm sure most of them can. Unless they are addicted to outrage that is.

The great apes are our closest relatives, it goes without saying human beings will be compared to them. Leave it to PC mobs to make this a sensitive topic only when one race of human calls another race of human a monkey or ape.

Like I said, a lot of women think most guys are not handsome. She probably was just teasing him and race wasn't even in her conscious mind, not that it matters to me. White people hang around black people all the time and race is not even in their mind.
