Box stores suck. Have you heard of the internet? You can go on it and order USA equivalent products and have them shipped to your door for about the same price as the China crap.
Yep, you can order Harbor Freight tools. Made in US, and probably worst quality tools you'll find anywhere.
How does it help the US if they move from China to Vietnam? The cost of building factories in other countries will be passed to the consumer, and more than likely Trump will tax imports from the new countries too.
Was talking to a friend from Vietnam. He said that the industries are going to hit a wall in Vietnam because there are not enough employees or infrastructure to support a massive shift of manufacturing from China.

It is not a simple thing to move factories from one country to another, which is why I am not buying the Home Depot owners story, especially knowing he is a Trump supporter,

They figured it out pretty fast when Clinton got NAFTA passed. As well as when trade was opened up with China. Home Depot sucks.
Labor cost for most products are still too high for companies to return to the US. Our current minimum wage is still way too high for WalMart suppliers but still way to low to keep American workers off food stamps. Still a big gap.
FYI factories moving out of China does may still mean the stuff made by the Chinese in factories outside of China.
Companies like FoxCon have factories in several countries but they are still under Chinese Goverment control.
