Perhaps he should explain why he has been selling Chinese stuff for decades.

Yep, you can order Harbor Freight tools. Made in US, and probably worst quality tools you'll find anywhere.

Was talking to a friend from Vietnam. He said that the industries are going to hit a wall in Vietnam because there are not enough employees or infrastructure to support a massive shift of manufacturing from China.

It is not a simple thing to move factories from one country to another, which is why I am not buying the Home Depot owners story, especially knowing he is a Trump supporter,

Harbor freight tools are NOT made in the US!

Not a single one. Yes, they are some of the worst tools available. The Chinese stuff they sell is steel dumping.

They use brand names like Pittsburgh and US General too fool people and apparently it works quite well.

They figured it out pretty fast when Clinton got NAFTA passed. As well as when trade was opened up with China. Home Depot sucks.

Labor cost for most products are still too high for companies to return to the US. Our current minimum wage is still way too high for WalMart suppliers but still way to low to keep American workers off food stamps. Still a big gap.

FYI factories moving out of China does may still mean the stuff made by the Chinese in factories outside of China.

Companies like FoxCon have factories in several countries but they are still under Chinese Goverment control.

NAFTA doesn't have anything to do with China, and it was designed by Reagan and Bush, and was pretty much a done deal when Clinton took office.

Home Depot sucks worse now that they removed the cashiers and people have to use the self-checkout systems, even for large items.
