Disney acquired most of 21st Century Fox, basically movies and entertainment. They don't control Fox News, which was spun off as part of the newly created Fox Corporation. With Paul Ryan on the new Fox board, it may only be a technical distinction.
Shame on Rupert Murdoch for selling off most of the Fox Empire that ended over 105 years of Fox film history as we knew it. Shame on the USDOJ permitting such a semi-monopoly on the domestic box movie market share (40+%). Shame on Disney for buying. Shame on many Fox and Disney shareholders for siding with this union. 1000s of lay-offs, mostly Fox employees, are not worth having the Fantastic Four and X-Men characters eventually join the MCU. Uncle Walt and film producer William Fox would not approve of this merger.
Considering that Walt and Fox are dead they don't get a vote regarding this merger.
One america news created by a far right conspiracy theorist super pro trump, anti immigrant garbage. Doesn't have the views fox has but they slather on the orange marmalade thick on trumps pasty white cheeks
Wait this cant be happening. His main flag waving boy Hannity is on Fox.
Exactly. Can you imagine how hilarious it would be to watch Hannity if Trump turned on them?
The fallout would be fun to watch. Far-right conservatives have been watching Hannity and Bill O'reilly before him LONG before Trump came along, so if Fox and Trump split ways, I wonder if his base will do. Would they stay with Fox and dump Trump, or follow Trump to an even further right, less credible network than Fox News?
Is there currently a network on TV that would kiss the ring moreso than Fox has? Would Trump turn to a website like Breitbart or the Daily Caller to support him and cater to his base?
Remember, Trump wanted to launch his own media company, but then he was inconveniently elected and had to put it off? He's setting the stage for the new company he wants to start after he loses the next election, assuming he doesn't get accidentally elected again.
