It becomes a problem when men in positions of seniority, which is often the majority, choose not to mentor women in the workplace because of a perceived fear of backlash.
Then women who have never professed anything about the #metoo are penalized just for being women, just as some men are claiming happens to them.
At that point, sexuality is being unnecessarily applied to professional relationships.
We didn't build this.
And it is unfortunate, but it's understandable that men don't want their careers and lives ruined.
What's the problem here? Why is it problematic that some men are choosing to minimize their contact with women in the workplace?
Should not be a problem. Let's minimize unnecessary contact for all.
