Which makes Trump's actions all the more egregious and dangerous. The dolt will release any classified information if it boosts his ego or benefits him financially or politically.
How exactly does a picture harm national security? Do people really think our enemies are only protecting themselves from the capabilities of what has been publicly released??? Even without knowing what our resolution is, any country would be absolutely STUPID not to be doing anything it could to prevent satellite imagery of their own sensitive stuff.
I am not a Trump fan at all but I have to believe this was not an accident, that Trump cooked this up with the CIA or somebody smarter than he is to put Iran on notice that we are watching them in high-res. For one thing there is a piece of the image that is redacted which would not be done for Trump's eyes but more likely done before they had Trump tweet it.
This and the fact that the capability required to create those pictures may not be the pinnacle of our current capabilities, but simply one tool in our intelligence gathering arsenal. If the Iranians know that we can see all their "hidden" launch sites in high definition detail, this forces them to continue to develop underground facilities which is more expensive and takes longer to do. It buys time.
