Prediction: If Texas or Florida or Georgia and some other state become reliably blue, the GOP will be all about the popular vote. If they see a future landscape where Democrats win every time, they will determine that getting GOP voters in blue states a reason to vote for them will be their salvation.
History; Democrats celebrated the blue wall before their screw whitey agenda led to it crashing down.

UGH. If the Left was benefiting from the EC and losing the popular vote is there any doubt that they would be calling for the popular vote to thrown out?

The DNC was playing back door politics in picking Hills over Bernie. There has been talk by certain Democrat run states to require that a candidate release their tax returns knowing that Trump won't so that would mean he wouldn't even be on the ballot in those states. I wonder whatever happened to that movement? They have been waging a propaganda war on Trump since day one with some going as far as to wish for a recession to lessen his chances in 2020, damn the good people of this country that will be harmed.
What the Dems have been trying to do is so wrong and it is hurting America.
It seems to me that the kinds of people the electoral college was designed to protect us from are the ones who would be most likely to want to see it abolished.
