Feel free to show me a right that minorities don’t have? Or just go back to writing snarky limp posts.
You’re joking right?

It was not that long ago that housing, banking, and mortgages displayed outright prejudice against minorities. Which meant better schools, outcomes, and generational wealth being passed down up to just a single generation ago.

When you use the term "minorities", you are fighting for the bad guys. The term is designed to mislead people into thinking that whites are numerically and therefore politically dominant, which is false. Don't help the bad guys out.

Stop it.

You want our stuff.

You have no "generational wealth" because you are not productive. If you ARE productive, you would be happy to live separately and produce your own stuff. But you can't, so you insist on forcing us to live with you so you can take what we produce.

I’m a software developer making a pretty penny looking more for ways to give charitably if anything, thanks.

All I’m saying is that the playing field has never been level. It’s been heavily tilted in the favor of one sort of person for a long time. We’ve made a lot of progress in that arena but it’s not over. Prior to the Civil Rights Act it was laughable to call that equal opportunity. That was only sort of fixed in my parent’s generation. It takes more than one generation to sort something like that back out.

No one needs to be penalized, nor am I arguing for affirmative action. But it’s simply not rational to deny that it exists. Can debate what, if anything, to do about it as a separate matter.

Right? I was accused of this by a slacker at work when they found out I was liberal.

At least one of the 3 nations in your list is still ruled by the communist party and their economy still has a good deal of state ownership. And the other two have probably more "socialist" policies than the US.

It's ironic you're telling us we cannot compete with 3 other nations who have more heavy-handed legislation than us if we adopt the same policies they have!

I'm still waiting for you to explain what you mean by "equality of outcome." It's a rather vague term which can mean different things depending upon the political stance of whoever is using it.

At any rate, Japan and South Korea are allies - although Trump's "love affair" with North Korea's Kim is straining our relationship with both these countries.

Our biggest concern should be China with its growing population numbers and its increasing gains in technology and science. The new found contempt that the US has for education and science means that we may well get left behind in all sorts of areas from high tech to medicine. Too bad for us and great news for China.

Who is this “our?”

Surely you don’t just mean self-proclaimed conservatives or rightists, because your numbers include hordes of generational welfare recipients in red states.

Heck, even the conservative farmer lobby pushes for subsidies. Subsidy is just another word for welfare, given to balance the scales for people disadvantaged by economic policies.
