But......you have to appreciate the irony of a group of now disgruntled scientists who probably don't like Trump anyway denying their own science!
They probably didn't like him to begin with and let those feelings take center stage. Heck, I don't like him. But it is their responsibility to keep their jobs if they still want it. The public won't save them from a firing.

According to the article you posted, NWS Birmingham had already contradicted the president when NOAA issued statement to employees not to get involved in it.
I suppose if Trump says it will snow in Alabama tomorrow, NOAA toadies will put out a bulletin supporting it.

Trump made a big hairy deal about how often Obama played golf, and said something to the effect that he wouldn't do that because he'd be working so hard for us.
So far, he's played more golf than Obama had at this point in his Presidency.
