It's a legitimate argument. Kids get Pot and Alcohol which is illegal as they do Cigs and Vapes which are also illegal for them. More laws will only affect those that legally partake.
Why are governments legalizing Pot while they and the MEDIA demonize vaping? Inhaling Pot smoke is just fine for young lungs?

Who is saying young people should smoke pot though. That is a straw argument. The issue is people are realizing that a prohibition on pot didn't work. There are indeed medical benefits you it which is why it is legalized in many states, though more and more are legalizing for private use.
As for vaping, that is people realizing how attractive and easy it is for teenagers to start. If I am not mistaken, all of the reported gaping deaths and injuries happened to teenagers. If they used THC oil or used the alleged old Juul juice as per the whistle blower report is anyone's guess.

Fact: Alcohol, cigarettes, and Pot are already ILLEGAL for kids yet MOST OF THEM STILL GET IT. Not a straw argument! It is real. More laws aren't going to stop them.

So because people drink and drive regardless of DUI laws, we should get rid of the law because the law is in effective? That is exactly what you are saying and yes that would be a straw argument.
You conflated tobacco deaths and the vaping deaths. The median age (middle age of the recorded cases) as of early September was just 19. Your cigarette deaths were 53. It is an apples to bananas comparison.
The CDC (the ones actually investigating the vaping lung illness cases) link is in regards to vaping not tobacco. Please read.
"As of October 29, 2019, 1,888* cases of e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury (EVALI) have been reported to CDC from 49 states (all except Alaska), the District of Columbia, and 1 U.S. territory.
Thirty seven deaths in 24 states and the District of Columbia: Alabama, California (3), Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia (3), Illinois (2), Indiana (3), Kansas (2), Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota (3), Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Oregon (2), Pennsylvania, Tennessee (2), Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Did I say get rid of the existing laws? NO. Stop lying.
Kill people. There are plenty of 90 year old smokers around.
