Unfortunately, it's all highly personalized with Trump.

Trump's Paradigm of the Personal
By Charles Blow

In George Washington’s farewell address of 1796, he said: “The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest.”
Trump is trying to embody the country and to lead it astray in the way that Washington warned against. Trump is a slave to his emotions, and this impulse is doing great harm to the nation, both internally and on the world stage.

Then you'll surely have emotional problems after he's reelected.

I think W did at least as badly. And Obama merely treaded water, even with an underserved Nobel. We’re in a bad frame of mind in this country.

All true. Sadly, people like Trump take advantage of the Dumbing Down of America, which has long been a policy designed and delivered by the Republican Party. Now that policy is bearing fruit, and long time Republicans are forced to support Trump, an interloper of questionable sanity and low intellect.

Charles Blow's opinion of Trump is one that I can do without. He is playing to his choir as he does in nearly every column he writes. He is a blowhard. Pun intended. Give me Kevin Williamson any day.

Your odd reply ha nothing to do with the content of my post. This is about Trump's lack of control, due to his emotions - no one else.

Yet the country is doing much better with Trump than Obama. The world knew Obama was a spineless jelly fish. A weak appeaser that loved $4/gallon gasoline.

Over 100,000,000 people do not think the country is doing better with Trump. I believe he's the only president who has never averaged over a 50% approval rate.

And, by the way, the president generally does not have much effect overall on the price of gas.
