What must end is the things that are causing these younger people to go on rampages. It's the parenting and schooling. When you raise/teach a child telling them they are awesome no matter what, give them everything they want, never telling them no, coddling them, telling them they are winners when they actually lost then throw in social media and the absolute narcissism that goes along with it they are in for a huge surprise when they get out into the real world. They can't handle being told no, losing out to other people, being bullied by life in general and come to the realization that they aren't so important or popular as they're social media accounts led them to believe they snap to hopefully get their viral video (news stories) and feel important again. The same type of firepower in firearms has been around for many decades and this wasn't such an issue. It's society that has changed and it's for the worse.
Exactly. There is a professor that I saw talking about this on a TED talk. And he actually traces it down to when we started to change how we parented, which coincides with the current demographic of these rampage killings.
In all fairness to the government (at any level) they know a thing or two about being a domestic (or foreign for that matter) terrorist so maybe this idea has legs.

Every government has the right to declare any group a domestic terrorist organization. Some are more reasonable than others.
SF just chooses to expose their hate for law-abiding Americans and Trump with this action. Maybe it's a move to obscure their real problems.
Maybe instead of attacking the NRA they should address their crime problems;

San Francisco is the nation’s leader in property crime. Burglary, larceny, shoplifting, and vandalism are included under this ugly umbrella. The rate of car break-ins is particularly striking: in 2017 over 30,000 reports were filed, and the current average is 51 per day. Other low-level offenses, including drug dealing, street harassment, encampments, indecent exposure, public intoxication, simple assault, and disorderly conduct are also rampant.
Property and other supposedly low-level crimes are intensifying the destruction of the retail market. Landmark Mission District stores are shuttering, citing theft and lack of security. In April, CVS closed two pharmacies that had been ravaged by constant shoplifting. Mom-and-pop businesses, wracked by so-called minor losses, find it impossible to survive. Empty storefronts dot once-vibrant neighborhoods.
San Francisco is more concerned about making points and being controversial than it is with actually governing and solving problems.
It’s become a pattern, which is why the place is such a mess.
San francisco board of supervisors declares nra a domestic terrorist organization
Quote:
San Francisco's legislative body has challenged other American cities and states to follow its lead and formally condemn the National Rifle Association (NRA).
The Californian city's board of supervisors passed a resolution on Tuesday officially labeling the gun rights' group a domestic terrorist organization.
District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani, whose district includes the Marina and Presidio, wrote the declaration stating that the NRA "spreads propaganda that misinforms and aims to deceive the public about the dangers of gun violence."
It said the NRA "musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence."
