You really couldn't make this stuff up......

We all know Trump wants to use more fossil fuels and pollute more, but trying to use the DJI - which has better things to do - to work against cleaner air, more efficiency and more MPG???? His "opposite world" EPA is chiming in too.....they want to do the opposite of what they exist for!

Even "conservatives" can't be buying this nonsense? Doesn't "conservatism" come from "conserve"?

Cars are long term investments and rollbacks can sentence people far into the future on spending more money for fuel than they need to.

Sounds like California is usurping federal law.

That’s a nono.

#fakenews nobody is suing anyone and this was already discussed a while back. Why should CA determine the regs on vehicles for the entire nation? Anything that has CA regs built into it is all gummed up with gadgets and other junk that kill performance.

This is what we get having a member of the denialist movement in the WH. We need to correct that.

Horse****. The automakers voluntarily set a goal to meet a standard less than the previous one established under Obama.

Trump is now demanding they pollute more.

Since you are a member of the denialist movement of course you would want that too.

This is unbelievable! Trump is using the DOJ -- weaponizing it actually--to get childish thin-skinned revenge on automakers for not lowering their standards and POLLUTING as much as Trump wants them to.

This guy is getting more tyrannical by the day. This is really disgusting.

This is ultimately what its coming down to. Federal law is supreme to state law and California isn't free to regulate on this issue where the federal government has taken charge.

This is pretty good evidence that Trump cares about nothing except himself. He's having everyone who doesn't kiss his ass investigated. We're headed into dangerous territory--and the taxpayers are paying for this Third Reich wannabe to investigate everyone who he is sulking about today.

The DOJ is spending all of its time trying avenge Trumps fragile ego. It is an abuse of power, and a waste of money and time. I'm starting to lean towards impeachment--this idiot is taking his lunacy way too far. Barr should be impeached too--he's not Trump's consigliere.
